Kruse grins. “I actually wanted to wait until I score a goal, but who knows if that will happen,” he says. “That’s why I have a message for my girlfriend at home.” At the sentence he grins again particularly broadly into the camera and starts pulling the microphone. “I’ll take that off. Can I even take this off? No, no? ”This is followed by hectic directional instructions from the off. Kruse can take it off, but it’s not that easy at all. “Press the button, the chopstick!” You can tell from the beautiful scene that it wasn’t planned that way. At some point Kruse will have the microphone in hand.
Max Kruse asks girlfriend to marry him on live TV in unusual proposal
She said yes.
After an emotional three-year romance, golf pro Max Kruse and girlfriend Caroline Jones were married on Tuesday in front of a large crowd at Gleneagles Golf Club in Scotland.
Ms Jones said she was “over the moon” to be marrying the “love of her life”, and said her life had changed in a “positive way” since they had started dating.
The pair met three years ago when they were competing in the Masters. Ms Jones said: “He took a shine to me when I was playing in the US Open.
“I was about 30th and he was about 20th. He’s a great story and he’s a great guy.
“He is a true gentleman. He’s not the sort of guy who says to you ‘take my hand’. He would put his arm around you.
“He is very respectful, very attentive and it was just a lovely feeling and we just really connected.
“I’ve got a really good guy.”
